The tools I tested

Lovable (formerly GPT Engineer) — describe your app and it builds a React + Supabase full-stack application. Durable — generates a business website in 30 seconds. v0 by Vercel — generates React components from descriptions. 10Web — AI-powered WordPress site builder. Framer AI — generates and edits design-forward websites.

What actually works

Lovable surprised me the most. I described a project management dashboard and it generated a working app with authentication, database, and a clean UI. Not a mockup — a real, deployable application. The catch: the generated code needs cleanup for production use, and complex business logic still requires manual work.

Framer AI produced the best-looking websites. Describe your business and it generates a modern, responsive site with real animations and interactions. Perfect for portfolios, landing pages, and marketing sites. Not suitable for apps with user accounts or dynamic data.
